The 'one question' is ...

If you were seated at a table of, say, 15 of the greatest minds and successes of our day, and you were allowed to ask ONE question, what one question would you ask? Again - you're only allowed to ask one question ... what would that one question be?

Success answers from Josh Hinds of GetMotivation.com and AudioMotivation.com ...

How important has modeling the success of others been to you in your success?

Without a doubt modeling the achievements of others has played a huge roll in whatever I've been blessed to accomplish. Early on while working in the family business I was introduced to the power that lay in reading, whether it be personal development, sales training, etc. I would like to add right here that modeling can take many forms... Be it through listening to audio tapes, videos, books, or in a one on one meeting.

The key I believe is in realizing that you don't have to totally re-invent the success wheel. That is certainly not to say that the particular path, business or vehicle you choose to take isn't going to be unique. What I am saying is that many of the ideas and characteristics that are common with other high achievers are right there for the learning, if you are only willing to explore them.

There is an old saying I absolutely love, and that is "Success leaves clues". Knowing that I am convinced that a person can shave off years of unsuccessfully chasing their dreams by simply making it a point to learn from those who have gone before them. In its simplest form, what I am saying is, if you want to learn stock market trading, common sense would tell us the best approach would be to reach out to those who have done it successfully.

The same idea holds true in almost all aspects of life. The student who wants to have higher grades will stand a better chance of doing so if he or she adopts the same study skills that have worked for other students that consistently seem to make high marks. If you wanted to gain insight into having stronger relationships, following the lead of those around you who have done just that seems to be the most logical answer.

Looking back on your life, what do you consider your GREATEST accomplishment and why?

Wow, what a fantastic question! Without a doubt I'd have to say actually convincing myself to hit send on my first personal development newsletter is my greatest accomplishment to date.

The idea that others could be positively impacted by something that I had to share at times seemed unfathomable. Lucky for me I didn't listen to that voice that kept telling me "not to do it". I sent that first newsletter out in spite of myself and I'm happy to report that now it is a vital part of what I do for living now.

From that simple action, so many opportunities have blossomed. The website also grew into a full blown community of likeminded people who share an interest in self-improvement topics. If you'd have asked me if I had any inkling of how things would turn out I don't know that I could have predicted it even with a crystal ball. However, over the years I've learned one very important lesson.

Often when we lead with action, amazing things come to our rescue and fill in the details for us. The simple fact is that you don't have to know the final outcome; I do not think it is possible. You do have to have the courage to believe in yourself and in some cases the courage to stay in the game until things start to take shape.
